I started on the phones in a warehouse. Twenty years later I was changing laws and building businesses in markets nobody else had entered yet. I have always figured out the plane while it was in the air.

I learned how to do everything scared.

And through all of it, the thing that drove me wasn't the business. It was the people. Helping them was my first love. It always has been.

My husband Marty saw it before I did. He looked at me one day and said, "You're already a coach. You just don't have the title yet." He was right. I had been asking curious questions for years. Not to be nosy. Because I genuinely wanted to know what was going on with people. And somehow, their lives shifted.

I've come to believe God doesn't just turn on the faucet. He gives it one drip at a time. Not a flood of clarity. Just the next thing, then the next thing, then the next.

So I did the work. Over 3,700 coaching hours. I earned my way to PCC, the middle tier of ICF certification, above ACC and below MCC. Not handed to me. Accumulated one conversation at a time. Same way I've done everything else.

Now I work with leaders who got the promotion and immediately started wondering if someone made a mistake. The ones who catastrophize the first hard meeting. The ones who are absolutely capable. They just can't see it yet.
